After twenty years in hospitality, across sales, key accounts and consulting, I thought I understood what exceptional service looked like.
Five years ago, I discovered tennis, and with it a new way of seeing sport, active life, travel and connection.
As I played across different clubs and destinations, I kept coming back to the same thought. Why couldn’t I find a place built entirely around racket sport life, with the level of service, design and experience found in the world’s best hospitality?
Not a hotel with courts.
Not a sports club with a restaurant.
A world built around the game, the people and everything that happens beyond the court.
That became Verlin, an exclusive luxury membership ecosystem for tennis, padel and wellness, connecting exceptional experiences, inspiring people and destinations through one membership.
What the Society is for
The Society exists to build the community first. Members meet through experiences at three scales: monthly gatherings that are easy to join, small groups built around a shared interest, and a few once-a-year trips worth remembering. Most take place in the UK, with selected destinations abroad, and every one has tennis, padel or wellness at its heart.
Why Mérida
Mérida, on Mexico’s Yucatán peninsula, brings together a strong tennis and padel culture and playing weather all year round. It also places Verlin’s first club within reach of the United States and South America, where the network will grow next. For members in the UK, the Society comes to you first, through experiences here at home, with Mérida as the destination to travel to.
